What is DirectBuy?
DirectBuy is North America's premier home improvement and home furnishings club that offers members direct insider prices on virtually anything they could want to turn their house into a home. At more than 160 locations, DirectBuy members have access to approximately 700 brand-name manufacturers and authorized suppliers in the U.S. and more than 500 brand-name manufacturers and authorized suppliers in Canada.
Back to topWhat does it mean to buy direct?
We've established relationships with some of the best known brands in the home improvement and home furnishings industry that give our members the ability to purchase items without paying hidden retail markups. This means when you purchase merchandise through DirectBuy, you buy directly from the manufacturers and authorized suppliers - at direct insider prices, much like retail stores do.
Back to topIs DirectBuy like a warehouse club?
DirectBuy is not at all like warehouse clubs, although many of our members do also belong to warehouse clubs. At DirectBuy, the product selection is more extensive, featuring thousands of brand-name items that can be found at major retailers. We also offer members the ability to custom-order furniture and cabinetry, as well as provide options for design, delivery and installation.
Back to topHow do I become a member?
Request a free information pack and make an appointment to attend an Open House at a DirectBuy near you. At the Open House, information about the savings, member services and extensive selection of brand-name merchandise is described in great detail so that you can make the most information decision about whether DirectBuy is right for you and your family. There is no obligation associated with attending our Open Houses.
Back to topHow long does an Open House last?
Please plan to spend about an hour and a half with us. This includes time for you to experience a tour the club and have all your questions answered.
Back to topDo I have to make an appointment?
Yes. We ask consumers interested in learning more to schedule to attend an Open House event at one of our clubs. To schedule an appointment, please click here. Simply submit a request for a free information pack and you will have an opportunity to make an online reservation with your local DirectBuy. The club is open to all DirectBuy members during normal business hours. Call your local DirectBuy for current hours of operation.
Back to topHow much is the membership?
There are several membership plans available and pricing depends upon the type and length of membership.
Back to topCan I become a member of DirectBuy anytime after attending an Open House?
We ask for your decision at the time your Open House. This policy is in place out of respect for our members, manufacturers and the retail industry. It prevents consumers from asking traditional retailers to match DirectBuy prices.
Back to topWhy don't you list the names of your manufacturers?
DirectBuy works with more than 700 brand-name manufacturers and authorized suppliers in the U.S. and more than 500 in Canada at direct insider prices. Our manufacturers trust that we will not allow our clubs to be used as public libraries where consumers can research brand-names and prices then try to negotiate with a retail store to get insider prices per their price-matching policies. In order to maintain our relationships with the brand partners we work throughout the United States and Canada, this information is only available for viewing inside of our clubs.
